Suzi Clark at a glance
Reflections of my life
It started when
... my Dad went to India
And met my Mum
... in Calcutta
He lost his job
… because mixed race marriages were forbidden by the firm
I was brought up
... by Lilly, my ayah
I returned to England
I got beaten up
... because I was the only non-white child in Mountbelle Primary, Chislehurst
I became a fast runner
... to get away from bullies
I became Head Girl
... got 10 O levels and lifelong friends at Tripoli College
In Libya life was good
I learned to dance, sing and act
No longer the odd one out
... in a class of 16 nationalities = there was no discrimination
For a while I was
... a magician’s assistant
I wrote and directed
... a musical which was televised
I married Bryan Forrest Clark
... he died in 1994 and I stopped writing
Our greatest productions
Tanya, Larissa and Sophie Clark
And now
... I'm proud to have 7 wonderful grandchildren
These days
When I’m not working at Kit & Caboodle Ltd, grandDy sitting, or socialising, I’m writing once again
